Implant-retained denture support in Cheadle.
An implant-retained denture connects to dental implants using compatible attachments. We provide denture care for people who already have implants and can coordinate with the dentist or implant clinician responsible for implant treatment.
Where to start
You already have implants
Tell us who placed them, when they were placed and whether you know the implant and attachment system. Existing records may be needed before options can be confirmed.
You are considering implants
Implant suitability, placement and surgery must be assessed and managed by an appropriately trained dentist or implant clinician. We can discuss the denture side of a coordinated plan.
Your existing denture has changed
Loose attachments, wear or a changed fit need assessment. The denture, components, implants and supporting tissues may all need to be considered.
How coordinated care works
- Initial information: explain whether implants are planned or already present and share the treating clinician's details if available.
- Clinical coordination: implant health, position and suitability remain the responsibility of the appropriate dental clinician. Relevant records or approval may be needed.
- Denture planning: we assess the denture requirements, compatible attachment system, bite and fit before explaining the proposed stages.
- Fitting and maintenance: we explain insertion, removal, cleaning and the review needs of the denture and its replaceable components.
Useful details for your enquiry
- Whether implants are planned, healing or already in use.
- The name of the implant clinician or practice involved.
- The implant or attachment system, if you have been given this information.
- What has changed—for example fit, retention, comfort, wear or damage.
Do not send detailed medical information through the website form. We will tell you how to provide relevant records securely if they are needed.
When to contact your implant clinician
Contact the dentist or implant clinician responsible for your implants if you have pain, swelling, bleeding, discharge, a change around the implant, or if an implant or component feels mobile. A denture adjustment does not treat an implant-health problem.
